hhah-vaccinations jpg

Vaccination

Vaccines help to protect your pet from many serious illnesses. Our vaccine protocols are specifically tailored to your pet’s lifestyle and are based on the latest medical evidence and vaccination guidelines.

Dental Hygiene

Dental health is more than just seeking a remedy for bad breath. Chronic periodontal disease can cause severe pain and lead to damage to other organ systems including the heart, kidneys, and liver. Regular dental cleanings ensure that your pet has better breath and a long, happy, pain free life.

hhah-prevention jpg

Preventative Medicine

Regular physical exams and routine diagnostic testing allow for early intervention on a wide number of disease processes that, if left untreated, could result in the reduction of your pet’s quality of life or even shorten their lifespan.

Dermatology

All dogs itch sometimes, but when you notice it becoming more frequent, it could be a sign of a serious medical condition. It is important to determine the cause of the itch to prevent further damage to the skin and provide needed relief to your pet. Our team can help!

"We are so thankful for our friendship with John and the Hutchens!"

As a pediatrician, we have been blessed to take care of lots of kids, and even John and Lauren’s 4! However, our hairy children are another matter entirely.

I totally lack the at-ease demeanor when it comes to our “girls” Sunshine and Copper. If they start acting sickly or “off,” John’s there to help calm our nerves, either talking us down after Copper eats another of our socks, or stepping in when needed. With our pug Sunshine, she had heart failure that he quickly diagnosed, helped alleviate the pressure, and ultimately got her well enough to live a full rest of her “spunky” life with us. Our last dog, Sunny, lived a great life, despite eating grass, counter surfing who knows what for 12 1/2 years. As her life came to an end, John walked that road with us, praying with us and comforting us through tears too.

We are thankful to walk the journey of both dog life and kid life together with the Hutchens, and are excited about their next chapter that is just blossoming of their own practice.

"Dr. Hutchens scooping her up and saved her!"

I will always remember bringing my Miley in and Dr. Hutchens scooping her up and saved her! She’s still kicking at 14 years old! You’re the best!

"From Beginning To Ending, Dr. Hutchens Was There..."

From allergies to hotspots and from resistant infections to cancer, Tucker always walked into Dr. Hutchen's office with peace, knowing he was going to be cared for. You simply can't find that anywhere else.

"Duke's Never Seen Anyone Else!"

I'll always remember Duke walked towards us SMILING & free of pain for the very first time after his eye surgery. We'll always follow Dr. Hutchens!

My profession is very unique. My patients can’t talk to me, they can’t tell me where it hurts, or how long they’ve felt bad. They are dependent on my abilities as a doctor to effectively communicate with their human counterpart, perform a proper assessment, and administer the best, most effective treatment protocol available.

My goal is simple: to always practice best medicine first. I, as a veterinary professional, carry a huge responsibility. I am my patient’s advocate. I am my patient’s voice. I am their protector.
